La mayoría de los ciudadanos estadounidense creen que su gobierno respecta el estado de derecho. Eso es lo que sus escuelas enseñan. Pero, si uno estudiaría por su cuenta la historia de Estados Unidos, uno se daría cuenta que el gobierno de Estados Unidos cree que el fin justifica los medios.

Los libros de historia de Estados Unidos dicen que España le cedió a Puerto Rico como un botín de guerra después de la Guerra Hispana-Americana del 1898. Eso suena inocente. ¿Pero qué realmente sucedió?

El gobierno de Estados Unidos quería a Puerto Rico. Estados Unidos amenazó a España con continuar la guerra hasta que ella le entregara a Puerto Rico. Derrotada militarmente, así lo hizo.

Estados Unidos se aseguró que el lenguaje del Tratado de Paris dijera que los derechos de los nativos cedidos por España serían determinados por el gobierno de Estados Unidos.

Ese lenguaje vino del caso Dred Scott vs Sanford donde un escavo libre demandó a su ex amo. La Corte Suprema de Estados Unidos determinó que los esclavos libre y no libre no tienen derecho alguno que los Blancos le tengan que respectar.

Puerto Rico es en estado esclavo estadounidense. Eso viola la Carta de la Organización de Naciones Unidas (ONU) y sus 36 resoluciones pidiéndole al gobierno de Estados Unidos que le devuelva inmediatamente la soberanía de Puerto Rico a los puertorriqueños.

Los casi 10 millones de boricuas mundialmente tenemos que aprender por nosotros mismos nuestra historia para organizarnos para hacer resistencia permanentes. Tenemos que obligar al gobierno de Estados Unidos a cumplir con la voluntad de la comunidad internacional que considera el coloniaje un crimen en contra la humanidad.

US believes the end justifies the means by José M. López Sierra – Puerto Rico

Most United States (US) citizens believe that their government respects the rule of law. They do, because that is what US schools teach them. But if we were to study US history on our own, we would realize that the US government believes that the end justifies the means.

US history books say that Spain ceded Puerto Rico to the US as a war booty after the Spanish-American War of 1898. That sounds innocent. But what really happened?

The US government wanted Puerto Rico. The US government threatened Spain with continuing the war, unless she ceded Puerto Rico. Defeated militarily, Spain did so.

The US government made sure that the language in the Treaty of Paris of 1898 said that the rights of the People ceded by Spain would be determined by the US government.

That language came from the US court case of Dred Scott vs Sanford where a free slave sued his former slave master. The US Supreme Court decided that slaves, free or not, have no right that Whites have to respect.

Puerto Rico is a US slave state. That violates the United Nations’ (UN) Charter of 1945, and 36 UN resolutions asking the US government to immediately return Puerto Rico’s sovereignty to the Puerto Ricans.

The nearly 10 million Puerto Ricans worldwide must learn on our own our history to organize ourselves to engage in permanent resistance. We must force the US government to comply with the will of the international community that regards colonialism a crime against humanity.
